Out Comes the Hammer

The surveys have begun with that familiar tap-tap-tap on the hull. It’s a peaceful day at the marina but we made sure to put a stop to that. Let’s see if this boat’s hull has any issues.

It’s bright and sunny. But none of that matters, because we’re getting down to business starting with hull and topside survey. The boat is at Herrington Harbour North where there is a West Marine and almost any kind of sailboat contractor onsite.

We are going to have to keep an eye on the standing rigging coming down from the upper spreader to the lower spreader. It looks like there may be some corrosion at the connection.
